This is a short Movement Medicine MESA practice.
I can say I have found MESA practice to be one of the most useful movement tools I have ever worked with.
It’s simple and it’s profound, offering a map to how we move in space – both physical space and energetic space.
If you have experience of MM you will likely already know this map and can use this as a core resource; if you’re more of a 5Rhythms dancer, know that you can integrate the technique in your exploration of the Wave, as each of the Rhythms can be moved in micro, in medio and in macro. If you’re fresh to both maps, and if you’re a veteran, you can explore using this practice in relation to most things…
This recording is the ‘Bare Bones’ version, designed for those short practice windows in the morning, day or evening. There’s 4 tracks, one each for micro, medio and macro + an integration/grounding track at the end.
If you want to go deeper, there’s an extended MESA DJ mix version of this journey, with these same tracks and more which goes to an hour. Find that here. Extended guided version to follow.
Practice suggestion for when you have time: dance to the short guided practice and then take it straight into the longer wave for embodied dreaming…
Enjoy.
