PREPARATION

1
LISTEN TO THE VOICE MESSAGE

on the audio player above

2
HAVE A DANCE

using the 14min music mix on the audio player above

1. Make some dancing space, ensure it’s safe to move in.
Have water and warmth to hand, maybe pen and paper in case you want to write/draw afterwards. Set your devices to do not disturb!
2. Take a moment to relax and arrive in the space
3. Press PLAY on the audio player above and begin
4. Breathe… and Move, simply following the music as your guide and letting a dance emerge
5. When the music is finished, take a moment to land and integrate your experience.

This short wave is a 14minute practice to awaken and your soulful presence.
If you’re in my Patreon membership (The Home Dancing Project) you may be familiar with this mix; if not it will be a new resource for you.
Come to it fresh either way!

CONTEMPLATE THESE QUESTIONS

This could be sitting or moving with them, writing or simply holding them in awareness in the time lading up to the workshop.

How is your BODY, these days?
What do you need, physically, to be well?
(e.g. which foods, how much sleep, do you need touch, connection, solitude, nature, etc)

What is moving in your HEART, this season?
What is touching you, brings emotion – in your own life, in other people’s journeys, in the current world situation?

Where is your MIND, just now?
What are you conscious of – in this moment?
If you take a minute to sit and notice your thoughts, where do they take you?

What is SOUL?! – for you…

BRING A SOUL OBJECT

Choose and bring an object that reminds you of how you are when you are most soulful and alive – who you are and/or what makes you happy. (something you are willing to show others and speak about)

DANCEFLOOR PROTOCOLS

Please familiarise yourself with the Protocols we use for the dance space
– which you can find HERE. Your participation in the workshop will be taken as agreement to align with these core principles.

WHAT TO BRING:

1) loose, comfortable clothes to dance in
(temperature may vary so wearing layers you can easily add or remove is good)
Note: the floor is a little on the hard side, so you may wish to wear dancing shoes or grippy socks (no slippy socks though please)
2) a refillable water bottle (no disposable plastic please)
3) notebook & pen / art materials
4) an object (see above)
5) food for lunch (healthy, easily-digestible is good) – and some to share if you like to.
Jardim da Estrela, a lovely park, is nearby with cafes and shops close too.
Be aware we may break later than your usual lunch time so have a good breakfast.
Teas and some snacks (fruit/nuts) will be available.
6) desire to dance!
