The Zero Zone
The Zero Zone was a year-long journey into dance, experimenting with photographing as dancer rather than observer
My intention was to photograph as a dancer rather than a documentarist, conveying the visceral experience of movement rather than an observed physicality.
The photographs were created using cross-processed transparency film, a technique which matches the dance itself in its unpredictability and richness.
Led by Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan, who subsequently went on to develop Movement Medicine, the workshops went very deep into the psychological and spiritual landscapes of being human.
