Mentoring
Mentoring is a one-to-one space
dedicated to creative growth.
It’s a conversation in service of your evolution.
The purpose is to support you to become more of who you are and bring your medicine to your community in effective and aligned ways.
Combining focus and fluidity, the sessions bring a rich resource-base of experience, creative practice and embodiment techniques to help you find and follow your path.

My approach is rooted in a joyful respect for each human being’s unique identity and gifts. I seek to bring a spirit of open enquiry and creative clarity, along with my years of experience as an artist, facilitator and mentor for the School of Movement Medicine, within the dancingTao collective and in a variety of other creative and community contexts.
We can work together for a one-off consultation, a series of sessions, or as part of your ongoing support system. It can be project-based, solution-focussed or a more open exploration of themes and processes you’re with.

MENTORING FAQs:
The one-to-one space I hold is particularly suited to artists, DJs, dancers, movement teachers and facilitators, plus other kinds of creatives, community organisers, social/environmental justice activists and people working in the healing arts.
That said, I am happy to work with anyone exploring life’s movements and transitions with either a personal or professional focus.
We start by taking time to attune to each other.
We co-create a safe and dynamic container.
We bring awareness to your existing resources and add other support that may be helpful.
We clarify your direction of travel, intention and specific goals if you have them.
Then we follow the emergent process, drawing on a toolkit of possible methods and practices as needed. That will typically include: spoken dialogue/discussion, creative exploration, embodiment & movement work, bespoke ritual and use of the maps I work with (5Rhythms, Movement Medicine, Processwork, nature-based systems of awareness.)
We nourish and amplify what works well for you. We identify obstacles or blocks and design strategies to enable your innate capacities to move through or alchemise those challenges. We make space for creative solutions and tangible manifestation of your dreaming.
We harvest the fruits of the work and identify next & ongoing steps of action and being.
Once our session is confirmed, I’ll ask you to send me a few words on what you want us to work with.
There will then be an invitation for some simple preparation involving embodiment and/or some time outdoors to ground and gather your focus.
At the end of the session I will help you identify your next steps. I will also offer suggestions for follow-up work in your own time and space to support the integration and maximum possible benefit of the session.
Feedback and updates are always welcome and can also help the process find its full completion.
My way of working integrates core principles for creating safe, brave space. That includes centering the importance of resourcing, titration & other things which support the human nervous system to be in balance and work most effectively.
However, please note I am not a trauma therapist, which is a depth specialism of its own. I’ll let you know if I feel you need skilled support that I am not able to offer.

PRACTICALS:
I mostly offer mentoring online, using the video-calling platform Zoom.
You’ll need a stable internet connection, the software installed (simple to do) and ideally a quiet environment.
If you want to work face-to-face and are local to / within reach of South Devon in the UK, that may be an option.
Sessions are 1 hour long when part of a series or for those in ongoing mentoring.
One-off consultations are usually 90 minutes to give extra time for a complete process.
Cost is on a sliding scale of £50-£100 per hour.
– set according to your context and means.
I offer sliding scale prices in recognition that people have very different levels of financial resource. If you are able to pay higher rates, you are helping to make the work available for others engaged in equally valuable activities – thank you.
