There will be invitations to connect with other dancers and move in the group field – along with full encouragement to be who you are in the moment. \nThese dances are open: you can come to one\, some\, or all – as you like or are able.\nAnd: there is an invitation is to participate regularly and be part of co-creating a space that holds depth\, connection and continuity in the dance. There is a discount offered to dancers booking all the sessions in a series at once. \nVISION\nPulse is born of a desire to hold a regular deep dance space for the South Devon dance community.\nWe begin with a series of three sessions\, launching in the spring and moving into summer. All Livestream and Zoom links can also be accessed through the library here \nLivestreams are broadcast from In-The-Room dances in Devon and elsewhere. These are usually drop-in sessions\, but I’ll sometimes put out a stream from a longer event. \nTo join the dance from your own space…You need to be Tier 3 of The Home Dancing Project and logged-in to your membership (on the Patreon platform) on the same browser you are listening through. \n\nPrepare yourself and your space: make sure the space is safe for dancing and have water and warmth available.\nTune into the Livestream by clicking Play on the audio player HERE (Members-only; Showtime-only!)\nCheck the guidelines on the broadcast page for suggestions to support maximum immersion.\n\nArrival music will be playing from around 7:20; the dance starts at 7.30pm UK time and goes until 9.15.I tend to hold a warm-up\, offer some simple teachings or movement practice\, and then DJ a longer Wave for people to immerse in the dance. There will be invitations to connect with other dancers and move in the group field – along with full encouragement to be who you are in the moment. \nThese dances are open: you can come to one\, some\, or all – as you like or are able.\nAnd: there is an invitation is to participate regularly and be part of co-creating a space that holds depth\, connection and continuity in the dance. There is a discount offered to dancers booking all the sessions in a series at once. \nVISION\nPulse is born of a desire to hold a regular deep dance space for the South Devon dance community.\nWe begin with a series of three sessions\, launching in the spring and moving into summer. He worked in the music industry for many years\, running a record label and working in Matthew Bushwhacka’s recording studio. He is the founder of Temenos Dance Collective. Schedule1. DESCRIPTION:{Pulse}: The rhythmical movement of a heartbeat moving oxygen through a body\nnoun: /pʌls\n\nDancefloor as a space for aliveness.\nMovement as a resource for living. \nComing back to our bodies.\nRemembering we exist through breath.\nRiding rhythm and the universal heartbeat.\nFinding flow and the oxygen of movement.\nJourneying into music: this incredible healing force of the universe. \nComing together\nin the midst of these accelerating times\nto dance\, connect\, co-create and replenish:\nto cultivate the sacred life force and carry it into our days. \n \nSTRUCTURE\nThe sessions will usually feature a warm-up\, some teaching and a dancing journey through the Waves. There will be invitations to connect with other dancers and move in the group field – along with full encouragement to be who you are in the moment. \nThese dances are open: you can come to one\, some\, or all – as you like or are able.\nAnd: there is an invitation is to participate regularly and be part of co-creating a space that holds depth\, connection and continuity in the dance. There is a discount offered to dancers booking all the sessions in a series at once. \nVISION\nPulse is born of a desire to hold a regular deep dance space for the South Devon dance community.\nWe begin with a series of three sessions\, launching in the spring and moving into summer. Another series is planned for the autumn. Then let’s see how things evolve 🙂 \nMAPS\nThe teaching framework for Pulse is The Way of the Dancer\, Christian’s evolving synthesis of 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine with Taoist\, Animist and contemporary Subcultural approaches to the dancefloor and community ritual space. \nPrior experience of conscious dance practice can be helpful but is not essential.\nIf you’re new to this kind of dancing\, please let us know on the day so we can orient you. \n \nPULSE DATES in 2025\nLaunch Sessions: 30 April – 28 May – 25 June\nAutumn Sessions: 1 Oct – 29 Oct – 26 Nov

DESCRIPTION:Come into your space and make it a dancefloor.Drop into body\, breath and music.Follow movement… \nWe connect across timezones to dance and illuminate the moment.Moving with whatever is in process in our lives and in our world. Cultivating inner light and life force through movement – that we may shine\, and be in service to all beings in their shining.Luminance is an online dance space held in a mostly monthly rhythm. \nI bring energy\, movement teachings and some simple facilitation. I offer a specially curated blend of deep and subtle music medicine to create a strong\, open container. All this comes into your space via Zoom wherever you are\, to use and dance into embodied\, soulful consciousness. \nAnyone is welcome to attend on a drop-in basis\, whilst Members on Tier 3 participate for free. \nMaps: Luminance is held using The Way of the Dancer\, an evolving synthesis of conscious dance and movement meditation practice. We use and integrate teachings from 5Rhythms\, Movement Medicine\, Taoist practice\, Animist perspectives and other aligned embodied pathways. \n \nLuminance Dates in 2025: 21 Jan\, 25 Feb\, 25 March\, 22 April\, 20 May\, 24 June\, 29 July\, 23 Sep\, 21 Oct\, and 25 Nov. 10 Live Events a Year.
