There will be invitations to connect with other dancers and move in the group field – along with full encouragement to be who you are in the moment. \nThese dances are open: you can come to one\, some\, or all – as you like or are able.\nAnd: there is an invitation is to participate regularly and be part of co-creating a space that holds depth\, connection and continuity in the dance. DESCRIPTION:The Saltmarsh Project has evolved to restore around 10 acres (4ha) of saltmarsh within the Dart Estuary\, developing a collaborative way of working and helping us all to better understand this complex and interdependent community. \nSaltmarshes feature in the flow of energy and material between land and sea. They form as soft edges\, not hard. Through this restoration process\, what are we learning about softening boundaries\, working with nature\, resilience\, adaptation? \nMeet the team members and and The Saltmarsh Artist Collective. Hear the whole story. \nEach team member has contributed a specific set of skills to the Project\, from biological surveying with drone and LIDAR imagery\, applying ecological knowledge\, coppicing in woodland\, doing the work–boots in the mud\, to sharing the story locally and globally and interpreting saltmarsh essence through the arts. A New Beauty is questioning what kind of beauty we pay attention to. Through the arts\, what are we learning about different ways of understanding\, invisible history\, vulnerability\, and the value of simply being\, as part of an ecosystem? \nFor this art installation/exhibition\, each artist has developed work in relationship with the saltmarshes\, and the result uncovers and amplifies their special qualities. DESCRIPTION:Join the Livestream HERELink reminders go out to Members 24 hours before the session. All Livestream and Zoom links can also be accessed through the library here \nLivestreams are broadcast from In-The-Room dances in Devon and elsewhere. These are usually drop-in sessions\, but I’ll sometimes put out a stream from a longer event. \nTo join the dance from your own space…You need to be Tier 3 of The Home Dancing Project and logged-in to your membership (on the Patreon platform) on the same browser you are listening through. \n\nPrepare yourself and your space: make sure the space is safe for dancing and have water and warmth available.\nTune into the Livestream by clicking Play on the audio player HERE (Members-only; Showtime-only!)\nCheck the guidelines on the broadcast page for suggestions to support maximum immersion.\n\nArrival music will be playing from around 7:20; the dance starts at 7.30pm UK time and goes until 9.15.I tend to hold a warm-up\, offer some simple teachings or movement practice\, and then DJ a longer Wave for people to immerse in the dance. DESCRIPTION:New Recordings are released every month early on Saturday morning.Sometimes this will be a dance journey with two versions: a guided practice and a music-only DJ mix. Sometimes it will be another combination of practice recordings\, music and other resources to support autonomous movement practice.You can stream the recordings through the Glimpses of Light and Patreon websites – or you can take them offline using the Patreon app or a podcast app like Apple. Tier 2&3 Members receive email notifications when the releases drop.To become a member\, click HERENote: the membership was originally called The Dancefloor Jedi Project: early 2025 sees an uplevel into The Home Dancing Project with new offerings included. DESCRIPTION: The dancefloor is a place where our souls awaken… \nDancing brings us into Body: this physicality is our living vessel for everything.Moving in the landscapes of the Heart\, we can feel more and metabolise our emotions – freeing up the energy that lives inside them. Exploring Mind as a embodied phenomenon brings us into creative and conscious relationship with what is real. \nGabrielle Roth defined the Soul as the alignment (or integration) of Body\, Heart and Mind together. Movement enables this possibility and liberates us to become more of who we are. Coming to dance and do this freedom work together has its own particular potency. What is an Immersion? \nImmersions are a way to dive deep into the dance. They give time for experiential study of movement as meditation practice. They give space to the natural\, healing and creative process that unfolds on the dancefloor. And they ignite the possibility of surrendering to the ecstatic experience that is dancing for long periods of time! \nWe will work and play with the core movement maps of The Way of the Dancer\, Christian’s fusionary approach to the dancefloor\, which integrates 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine with Taoist practice\, Animist perspectives and other embodied pathways. \nWe dance solo\, we move with others and we explore as a group.We gather with a basis of respect and celebration of all bodies\, expressions and ways of moving.We use these protocols as a foundation for a strong\, safe container \nThe journey will include an invitation to prepare before the workshop\, and resources to support you to integrate the experience into everyday life. \nAll bodies welcome.
